You know just how powerful your words are. What you say makes a difference and the way you say it makes a difference.
But did you also know that the sound of your voice makes a difference?
Okay, let me share it in a way that might make more sense.
Have you ever heard someone talking and you can’t even hear the words that are coming out of their mouth because their sound is like nails on a chalkboard?
That right there would be an example of someone out of their sound.
Now let me share an example of someone being in their sound.
I had been trying to quit candy for the umpteenth time. My husband and I were at his grandpa's house and of course there was candy there and he was partaking. I was having the HARDEST time not eating the candy. I kept staring at it, dreaming of it in my mouth, longing to taste it with my tongue.
I know, I wasn’t helping myself out. 🙄
So I walked up to my husband and asked him to take my face in his hands and tell me that I did not want to eat that candy.
He gently cupped my face with his hands, looked me in the eyes, and said in his authentic sound, “You do NOT want that candy.”
The desire to eat that candy immediately left my body. I felt grounded and stable in my choice to not eat it. I felt sure.
We stayed the rest of the night, fed his grandpa dinner, and played a card game with him and I never once went back to wanting that candy.
The sound of your voice, your authentic sound, was designed to create a specific effect on your audience. It was designed to help you share your mission and purpose.
While my husband's mission in life is not to help me not eat candy 😂, although it really helped, it is a great example of what he can do with his voice and how it can affect those he works with and talks to.
And frankly, I am his audience at times.
When he walks into sales meetings and stands in his sound, he creates stability in the room. He stands as the expert. He creates a place of trust and groundedness that lends to people making the right decision for them. It helps him sell! It helps him connect with his customers and clients.
Your sound can do the same for you.
Each moon sign has its own designed impact and sound. The moon represents the heart, which makes it the most vulnerable sound we can make. and because it is the most vulnerable sound we can make, it also has its own struggle!
